COMPOUND FOR MANUFACTURING PERICLASE-SPINLE REFRACTORIES

FIELD: refractories industry, more particularly manufacture of unmolded refractories induction furnace lining and manufacture of products. SUBSTANCE: compound comprises 52-69% of 3-0.1 mm periclase fraction, 6-16% of 0.5-0.1 mm alumomagnesium spinel fraction with average grain size of 0.3+0.1 mm and 25-32 % of less than 0.1 mm dispersed periclase-spinel fraction. Ratio of amount of Al2O3 added to compound composed of alumomagnesium spinel and dispersed periclase-spinel material is (3-3.5):. Compound has size modulus of 3.1=3.6. No fractionation of compound. Stable characteristics of mechanical strength: 40 H/sq mm for dried samples and 78=80 H/sq mm for sintered samples. Volume shrinkage is reduced to 0.6-1.2 vol %.
