A polyphenylene ether resin composition comprising: (A) a polyphenylene ether resin, (B), a phosphate compound, and (C) a condensed phosphate compound, is new. The polyphenylene ether resin composition (PERC) comprises: (A) a polyphenylene ether resin; (B) a phosphate compound of formula (I): and (C) a condensed phosphate compound of formula (II): R<1>, R<2>, and R<3> = 1-20C alkyl, 3-20 C cycloalkyl, 6-20C aryl, 1-20C alkoxy, or OH, R<4>, R<5>, and R<6> = H, 1-20C alkyl, 6-20C cycloalkyl, 6-20C aryl, 1-20C alkoxy, or OH, with the proviso that the case where R4 = R5 = R6 = R7 = H is excluded; n = is a whole number not less than 1; Z = a 1-10C organic residue; q = 0-4; and . In bulk the P content is 1.8-5 wt.% relative to the total weight of PERC. Independent claims are included for: (1) A thin deformed product obtained from the PERC, including: component A above, component B above of formula (I): and component C of formula (II); (2) an insulated film obtained from the thin deformed product above, including components A, B, and C as in (1) above and B and C have the formulae (I) and (II) respectively.
