<p>A storage system having a reduced weight of a medium and a faster operation speed. The storage system includes a medium (200) having at least one semiconductor memory for storing data, and a drive (100) for driving the medium to read from or storing into the medium. The drive comprises a body (112) having a space (113) for containing the medium, a pair of interfaces (114a, b) connected to the medium and a computer (300), respectively, and a control part (116) for controlling a transmission of data between the medium (200) and the computer (300) via the interface. The control part is connected to the interfaces via a bus line. The medium includes a base substrate for supporting the semiconductor memory, and a connector provided at a rear side end of the base substrate to be connected to one of the interfaces and to the semiconductor memory through a bus line. Therefore, the data can be transmitted between the computer and the medium through the interface and the connector.</p> |
