A network control system comprises a device having screen display data for displaying an operation screen and identification information and a controller for issuing a screen request (101) to acquire the screen display data as screen information (111) from the device. The operation screen is displayed by the controller by using the screen display data and the like. When an operation is made through the operation screen, the operation information and the identification information of the screen display data are sent as an operation request (241) to the device. The device executes a function corresponding to the operation request. When the screen display data changes accordingly, the device sends the changed screen display data as screen information (121) to the controller.
