<p>The invention relates to new peptides corresponding substantially to the intracellular C-terminal domain of a mammalian HDL-receptor, or mimetics or functionally equivalent homologues, analogues or fragments thereof, and also to cDNA encoding such peptides. Said peptides are suitable for use in medicinal products for treatment of hyperlipidemia by modulation of cholesterol, bile acid, and/or lipid metabolism of a patient, as well as for identification of drug targets for treatment of hyperlipidemia.</p> |
