The insulator (2a,2b,2e,3a) is mounted with one end attached to the current rail (6) and the other end attached to the mounting profile (7). Starting from a pre-mounting position, in which there is no shape-locking between the rail and insulator, the insulator is rotated into an operating position and to hold the rail in shape-locking manner at the first end of the insulator. The second end of the insulator is then secured against rotation by a shape-locking connection to the mounting profile.
