FIELD: medical devices. SUBSTANCE: goal of invention is achieved by introduced unit for tracing power supply and test signal, which is generated when mechanical lung ventilation program operates without errors. Respective method involves tracing level of power supply of program control unit, detection of error in unit program, resetting program control unit by means of tracing unit, when no test signal is present, keeping delay for 1-2 sec and repeated switching of program control unit by means of tracing unit. When test signal arrives, unit continues operation in previous mode. When no test signal is present, tracing unit repeats reset command. EFFECT: improved protection of different types of mechanical lung ventilation equipment against drops of power supply voltage below permissible level and against possible errors of program control unit. 3 dwg
