A safety ski-binding comprises a coupling having a first part which is adapted for connection to the ski, and a second part which is adapted for connection to the heel of a ski boot, the said first and second parts being releasably held together by spring urged members adapted to allow separation of the first and second parts in the event of the skier's falling. The Specification discloses several embodiments of the invention in which one part of the coupling comprises a pair of spring-urged jaws for engaging an abutment on the other part, the jaws and abutments being shaped to facilitate a camming action therebetween in releasing and re-assembling the coupling. In some embodiments the connection between the two parts of the coupling includes ball bearings housed in a suitable race.
