Cabling between rows of rack-mounted equipment, of which only the end supports 21 are shown, is supported on a framework built up from panels 61 which are at a higher level than the frames 4 carrying the cables to the individual racks, and cover-plates 9 beneath the framework are detachable to admit air and light. The panel 61 shown is formed from bars 620 running between side members 610 bridging the space between the racks. The bars may have projections, illustrated in Fig. 5 (not shown), for orderly routing of the cable over the framework. The cover-plates may be perforated or of honeycomb structure, made of synthetic resin material and clipped or hooked on to the framework. Lamps 64 may be accommodated between the cover-plates and the framework. |
