The invention relates to a measuring device for on-line measurement of particle size distribution.The time of transition method deflects a highly focused laser beam extremely quickly over particles that are dispersed in air and provides quick measurement. The measuring principle is highly robust. A measured particle size distribution is adapted to an RRSB distribution, whereby the parameters thereof are used to regulate a fuzzy control for grinding installations.
