PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straightening device for long size material having a special cross section with which tension-straightening of the long size material having the special cross section is enabled finely without generating new defects. SOLUTION: This device is the straightening device for the long size material having the special cross section for executing tension-straightening of the long size material 1 having the special cross section provided with a rugged surface 4 having a projecting part 2 and recessed parts 3 which are continuously extended in the length direction and provided with a clamp mechanism driving source, two clamp mechanisms for clamping the long size material 1 having the special cross section in different positions in the length direction by being driven with this clamp mechanism driving source and tension driving source with which at least one side of two clamp mechanism is driven by a prescribed length in the direction where the clamp mechanisms are relatively mutually separated in the length direction of the long size material 1 having the special cross section to the other side. This device has a flexible clamp material 10 which can be abutted on parts where the clamp mechanisms are brought into contact with the rugged surface 4 of the long size material 1 having the special cross section when the long size material 1 having the special cross section is clamped, along the projecting part 2 and recessed parts 3.
