PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect the movement of a club head and to improve the golf swing by reflecting the light irradiated from a light source by a reflection plate mounted on a golf club, receiving the reflected light by a light receiving plate, and displaying the position of light accompanying the movement of the golf club by a position display part mounted on the light receiving plate. SOLUTION: When a laser beam from a light source 1 is emitted to a reflection plate 2, the beam of light is reflected by the reflection plate 2 and reaches a light receiving plate 3. When a club head 9 is moved, the angle of incidence to the reflection plate 2, of the beam changes, and the position of the beam on the light receiving plate 3 is changes. That is, the beam continuously changes through a crossing position of the longitudinal and lateral directions on the light receiving plate 3. Accordingly, the movement of the club head 9 is projected as one orbit on a position display portion 17. As the continuous movement of the club head 9 from the hitting stance of a player to the impact (further to follow swing), can be displayed on the position display part 17, the player can objectively confirm the self-swing.
