<p>PURPOSE: A check valve is provided to reduce an air inhaling noise by preventing a leakage of water into a tank of a bathroom and having an erosion-resisting property and abrasion-resisting property. CONSTITUTION: A check valve is produced with flexible elastomeric material or rubber material and is equipped between an outer spiral unit(48) of a housing(24) and a fitting(46) for forming an air inlet. The check valve(42) contains a flexible tapered lip(50) normally closed to flow air to an outlet(30) as facing a chamber(26). If a tank is filled with water from a supply unit to a pipe, the water is flowed from an inlet into a ring shaped chamber(26). Therefore, the air inside carried out is contained by inhaling the flow of water to the outside of the outlet(30) by a venturi effect generated due to a relation between the end(40) of an air channel and the chamber(26). If the tank is filled as a level of compressed air in the tank resists against water, the water is not flowed into the chamber(26), and the flexible lip(50) is closed.</p> |
