PURPOSE: A target without real pitches on it and able to be broken is provided to damp environmental shock when shooting. CONSTITUTION: A target for trap or skeet shooting is prepared by the steps of: heating target compositions containing 35-45% of sulphur, 30-60% of charging agent and 1-4% of sulphur improving agent at over 320 °F of temperature; cooling the material at 240-320 °F of temperature; and molding in a target. Herein, the charging agent is selected from a group composed of plaster, sand, clay, fly ash, glass, metallic sulphate, non-metallic sulphate, igneous rock, sedimentary rock or metamorphic rock, metallic oxidation and silicate. And the sulphur improving agent is lignin sulfonate base.
