PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-recording apparatus which solves various problems in an ink-jet recording system, fits for using high-viscosity inks and can form images in a simpler constitution with good energy efficiency than conventional recording apparatuses, and a method for recording images whereby high-quality images can be obtained without problems of waving of recording media, bleeding, strike through, color bleeding or the like. SOLUTION: There are provided an ink film-forming part 18 and an ink drop-transferring part 20. The ink film-forming part 18 draws out a linear body 103 from an orifice 107 of an ink tank 104 to pass through an ink 113 in the fixed ink tank 104, thereby forming an ink film 101 to a surface of the linear body 103. The ink drop-transferring part 20 moves the linear body 103 drawn out of the orifice 107, thereby forming ink drops 102 from the ink film 101 held to the surface of the linear body 103, separates the ink drops 102 from the linear body 103 and transfers to a recording medium 111 in accordance with an image signal part 108. |
