PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printing press for forming images over an entire breadth of a receiver except a lateral face of the receiver and a method for assembling a printing press. SOLUTION: A printing press 10 having a print head 50 for jetting small drops of ink onto a receiver sheet 30 forms images spreading over an entire breadth of the receiver sheet 30. The print head 50 starts to jet small drops 60 of ink from a position spaced by a predetermined distance (d) from a lateral face 45a of the receiver sheet 30. A liquid reservoir part 180 is set adjacent to the lateral face of the receiver sheet 30 and extends along the predetermined distance (d). The liquid reservoir part 180 receives the small drops 60 of ink jetted along the predetermined distance (d), thereby preventing the small drops 60 from hitting the lateral face 45a or parts in the printing press.
