PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protrude the writing portion of a refill from the distal end of a barrel by pressing a knocking body, and in addition, release the engagement with a clip by pressing the knocking body, and make the writing portion sink in the barrel, and also, perform the sinking by lifting the clip. SOLUTION: This writing utensil is constituted in such a manner that by the rotation and the longitudinal movement of a knocking body 3 to guide and move an engaging portion 4 of the knocking body 3 by a first cam slope 20, a second cam slope 21, and a third cam clope 22 of a cam mechanism which is respectively provided on the internal surface of a barrel 1 at the front side and the rear side of an engaging portion 6 (a cam slope 25) of a clip 5, the writing portion of a refill 2 is made to protrude from the distal end port 1-1 of the barrel 1 or sink in the barrel cylinder 1. |
