PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup holder for a vehicle, capable of setting the position of the upper surface part of a case to be low even in a structure where the locking pawl of a tray is engaged with the locking hole of the upper surface part of the case. SOLUTION: Since a front side area 9 is formed to be lower than a projecting part 7 in the upper surface part 3 of a case 1, a large space for equipment 36 installed adjacently to the upper side of the case 1 is secured. Also, even if the upper surface part 3 of the case 1 is lowered, since a cut-off part 10 is formed to prevent interference with a locking pawl 18 in the upper surface part 3, the smooth moving performance of a tray 12 in the case 1 is maintained.
