PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a repair work by enabling repairing of a disconnected part of a conductor pattern without cutting a protecting glass layer. SOLUTION: In a thermal print head, a conductor pattern 4 is formed to an upper face part of a substrate 2 and a protecting glass layer 8 containing an oxide of metal having a low melting point characteristic is formed in an upper face part of the conductor pattern 4. The method for repairing a disconnection of the thermal print head includes a first step in which a heat treatment is conducted in a reducing atmosphere to the metallic oxide from the outside to a predetermined point of the protecting glass layer 8 corresponding to a disconnected part 9 of the conductor pattern 4, thereby reducing the metallic oxide to turn the disconnected part 9 into a conduction state.
