PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing machine capable of forming a paste pattern on a substrate by pressing a force fit head onto the substrate by a pressing force which is free from adding an injury onto the substrate even in the case where a pattern aperture part is small. SOLUTION: In a screen printing machine wherein a pressure fit head 1 filled with paste is pushed vertically onto a main surface of a substrate via a mask 3 having a pattern aperture part 4, the pressure fit head 1 is transferred relatively in a direction parallel to the mask 3 or the main surface of the substrate while the paste is discharged from a discharge opening of the pressure fit head 1, the paste is printed on the substrate through the pattern aperture part 4 of the mask, and a paste pattern is formed on the substrate, a means wherein at least one side of the pressure fit head 1 or the mask 3 and the substrate is reciprocated in the above-mentioned relative transfer in a direction crossing at right angles a direction of the above-mentioned relative transfer is provided, to at least one side of the pressure fit head 1 or the mask 3 and the substrate.
