PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining method to high-precisely machine a part, such as a hub used in a motor, having a small size and weak machine rigidity. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step wherein a reference groove forming part 10, caused to have a strength high enough to prevent an influence from being exercised on a machining work, through chucking, a step wherein after the reference groove forming part 10 is chucked by a chuck 12, a hub nipping reference step part 9 formed by a vertical shallow wall surface forming a surface as seen in a radiation direction (a direction of a line RL) from the central line CL of the hub is formed in the part, having no disturbance on a cutting work, of the reference groove forming part 10; and a step wherein the hub nipping reference step part 9 is chucked and a hub inside diameter part 8, a disc holding wall 2, and a disc mounting surface 15, being parts needed for cutting, are cut based on the hub nipping reference step part 9 serving as a reference part. |
