FRUIT RIPENESS GRADING SYSTEM USING COLOR SENSOR

PURPOSE: A fruit ripeness grading system is provided to prevent fruit from being damaged in a storing process by assorting depending on the degree of fruit ripeness. CONSTITUTION: When supplying fruit to a system, a size judging unit(10) judges a size level by weight of fruit. A ripeness judging unit(40) outputs a size level information to a reference value memory(20). Two color sensors(30) senses a surface color in both sides of fruit by arranging on a moving route and analyzes the surface color into the three primary colors so as to detect the strength and weakness and to output the result as voltage value. The judging result is indicated on a display unit(50) to inform a user and then fruit is assorted according to the size and the ripeness.
