PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding head of automatic pipe circumferential welding equipment capable of lowering the height of the welding head and reducing a space required for welding work. SOLUTION: A welding head 1, on which a welding torch 6 is mounted, can run on a guide rail extending in a given direction (X direction) along a weld line. In a Y driving mechanism 9 and a Z driving mechanism 8, all motors 39, 29 of both driving mechanisms are fixed onto a base frame 50, and the welding torch 6 is driven in two directions (Y direction, Z direction) within a surface crossing the weld line.
