PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical parking space capable of shortening the cycle time of housing and leaving and smoothly performing the housing and leaving of an automobile and the transfer of a pallet. SOLUTION: This mechanical parking space is provided with a number of housing shelves H having an upper stage mounting part for mounting a loaded pallet and a lower stage mounting part for mounting a vacant pallet, housing and leaving getting-on and down rooms 6, 7 having the upper stage mounting part for mounting a loaded pallet and the lower stage mounting part for mounting the vacant pallet, elevators E1, E2 having the upper stage mounting part and the lower stage mounting part for carrying the loaded pallet and the vacant pallet between the housing shelf H and the housing and leaving getting-on and down rooms 6, 7 and a truck C. In this mechanical parking space, the leaving elevators E1, E2 comprises a horizontal base frame and a vertical frame attached to both the sides, and the upper stage mounting part R1 mounting the loaded pallet on the base frame and the lower stage mounting part R2 for mounting the vacant pallet are provided.
