PURPOSE: A method for detecting a connection state of a telephone line of an internet television is provided to always recognize the connection state of the telephone line by user when a modem and a telephone line are not connected each other. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting a connection state of a telephone line of an internet television includes three steps. The internet television is consisted of an internet module(30) comprising a transformation part transforming a transmitted information into an image or a voice, a modem(29) being connected to a telephone line and transform an information transmitted, an internet processing part(31) performing an internet connection according to a control of a control part(11) and a television module(10) comprising an amplification part A first step is to select an internet mode and call a telephone. A second step is of a low signal to be inputted from the modem to the control part to recognize cut of the modem and the telephone line. A third step is on the outside to display the cut of the modem and the telephone line.
