PURPOSE: A system for reserving a program using a program formation table of a television is provided to easily reserve a program as reserving a program through the program formation table at the reservation mode. CONSTITUTION: A system for reserving a program using a program formation table of atelevis ion includes a memory(9') and a control part(9). A schedule time storing a program formation data, a program formation code data and a program formation table are stored in the memory. In the control part(9), when a main electric power of the television is on and the present time is the schedule time stored in the memory, a detection of a program formation code is judged by comparing a caption data from the caption decoder with the program formation code data stored in the memory. In the judgement the program formation data is stored in the program formation table of the memory(9') when a program formation code is detected. Also, if display the program formation table stored in the memory and user reserves a program through the displayed program formation table when a television and a program reservation mode are on all, a channel is switched to a reservation program at a reservation time.
