PURPOSE: A sound output device of 2 tuner mode television is provided to watch the voice from the channel without a speaker as OSD though caption function is not presented. CONSTITUTION: A sound output device of 2 tuner mode television comprises a quantization part (61), a sound memory(62) storing the sound digital signal of the quantization part, a voice recognition part(63), a character converter(64) and an OSD generator(52). The quantization part processes the sound intermediate frequency signal from one of main/sub signal processors(12,22) as sound digital signal. The voice recognition part(63) compares the sound digital signals stored in the memory(62) with voice digital signals to abstract only voice digital signal.
