PURPOSE: A method for setting up radio frequency is provided to store pure radio broadcasting frequency only, by deleting frequency which is not the pure broadcasting frequency from a memory, about all frequency stored in the memory by being automatically scanned. CONSTITUTION: A method for setting up radio frequency in a radio system having a memory comprises the steps of: storing scanned broadcasting frequency in the memory, by automatically scanning radio broadcasting frequency such as FM and AM in order; replaying radio broadcasting signals corresponding to all the radio broadcasting frequency, stored in the memory through the automatical scanning, in order and in the regular time; deciding whether the replayed broadcasting signal is the radio broadcasting signal, storing the corresponding frequency in the memory when the replayed broadcasting signal is a normal radio broadcasting signal, and deleting frequency corresponding to the signal, according to whether a stop key signal is inputted when it is another radio broadcasting signal, from the memory; rearranging the corresponding frequency, which the normal broadcasting signal stored in the memory is replayed, from a first, in order.
