PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an offset by detecting image information recorded to the same position of a front and a rear faces and adjusting a layout for at least a record image to the front face or rear face when an image deterioration because of the offset is estimated to happen on the basis of the image information. SOLUTION: In printing a photographic image area 16 to a rear face of a recording paper 13 by a printer driver in accordance with a perfect printing command, a position of the photographic image area 16 seen from the front side is reversed with respect to a horizontal axis through a rear face image reverse process. Photographic image areas 14, 15 to be recorded on a front face of the recording paper 13 and the photographic image area 16 to be recorded on the rear face are compared, whereby the presence/absence of an area overlap is detected. Thereafter, a layout is adjusted based on the detection result of an offset area detection process. For example, when an area 17 where the photographic image areas 14, 16 overlap is detected, a record position of the photographic image area 16 of the rear face is adjusted to be moved downward. |
