摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead traveling vehicle balance control device capable of making an overhead traveling truck travel on the curved part of an elevated rail at high speed while using no auxiliary elevated rail nor auxiliary travel rollers and preventing the truck from swaying sideways. SOLUTION: This mechanism includes a movable part 4A provided in a vehicle body at a position below the supporting position on an elevated rail 2 of each traveling wheel 3 of an overhead traveling truck 1 that travels with the vehicle body 4 suspended and supported on the elevated rail 2 by means of each traveling wheel 3, the gravitational center position G2 of the movable part 4A being freely displaced in the horizontal direction; a gravitational center movement means for moving the gravitational center of the movable part relative to the vehicle body; and a balance control means 13 which, when the truck 1 travels on the curved part of the elevated rail, calculates the balanced position of the gravitational center of the movable part where the moment of a centrifugal force working on the entire overhead traveling truck and the moment of a gravitational force balance each other about the supporting position with the direction of travel serving as an axis, thereby controlling the gravitational center movement means so that the gravitational center of the movable part is moved to the balanced position.
