PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device capable of performing printing by selecting a paper having an optimum size for an image when images having various sizes are to be recorded on a recording medium. SOLUTION: A size of an image to be printed is detected by an image size detecting section 6. A paper exchanging control section 7 compares the detected result with a size of a roll of paper set in a paper feeding section 8 and selects the roll of paper to be used. The paper feeding section 8 feeds the roll of paper to an image forming section 5 based on the selected result.
