PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and stably exhibit a prescribed damping performance to disturbances of any scales extending from small deformation to large deformation by constituting viscoelastic bodies situated on both sides with a rigid plate in between so as to have different layer thicknesses. SOLUTION: Viscoelastic bodies 3A, 3B are adhesively interposed between a strip-like rigid plate 1 and two strip-like rigid plates 2, 2, situated on both thickness directional sides of the rigid plate 1 and opposed to each other in parallel along the axial direction to the rigid plate 1, respectively. The viscoelastic bodies 3A, 3B are constituted so as to have different layer thicknesses D1, D2. Concretely, the layer thickness D1 of the viscoelastic body 3A is set in the range of±20%-±50% to the layer thickness D2 of the other viscoelastic body 3B. Since a disturbance energy is absorbed by the shearing deformation of the viscoelastic body having the smaller layer thickness with respect to a disturbance accompanied by a small deformation, and by the shearing deformation of the viscoelastic body having the larger layer thickness with respect to a disturbance accompanied by a large deformation, according to this structure, the damping function stable to disturbances of any scales can be provided.
