<p>PURPOSE: A cutting device and a printer equipped with the cutting device are provided to protect a blade of a cutter with a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: A printer(1) comprises a frame of main body(2) and a fixed blade(51), and a supporting frame of fixed blade(6) is supported to be able to rotate on the frame of main body(2). The supporting frame of fixed blade(6) is composed of a flat supporting structure(6a) and side parts(6b) formed in both ends thereof, and the both side parts(6a) are supported by the frame of main body(2) in the state amassed with each side part(2b) of main body frame(2). A cutter unit(30) accepted an operating blade(37)(a first blade of cutter) is installed in the rear upside of both side parts(2b) of the main body frame(2). The cutter unit(30) is equipped a cutter case(5)(a first supporting structure) composed of a frame of cutter(3) and a cover of cutter(4). And the operating blade(37) and a cutter motor(31) to drive the operating blade(37) are arranged inside the cutter case(5). A platen roller(40) is stuck in the supporting frame of fixed blade(6), and is arranged to be faced to a row head(20) in the state closed the supporting frame of fixed blade(6).</p> |
