ELECTRIC CONNECTOR FOR PGA PACKAGE

PURPOSE: An electric connector for PGA(pin grid array) package is provided to reduce the height by presenting parallel structure instead of linear terminals. CONSTITUTION: An electric connector(1) for PGA package comprises a housing substrate(2),plural terminals(3) and a cover(4). On the housing substrate, plural contact holes(7) are arranged in grid format for inserting pins(15) of the PGA package. The terminals are inserted into the contact holes. The cover has plural grid shape through holes(18) inserting the pins and slides on the housing substrate. The terminal is inserted into the contact hole and is formed by parallel arranging the coupling pin under the pressure due to a spring and bottom face of the housing.
