PURPOSE: A blade foot and a groove joining method are provided to reduce problems of stiffness of a rotor on operation. CONSTITUTION: A rotor(1) for a turbo machine has blades(3) inserted into grooves(2)inclined relative to the axis of rotation of the rotor. At least one blade foot(4) has at least two areas with different degrees of stiffness adapted to areas of the groove into which the blade foot is to be inserted and which preferably have the same degrees of stiffness as the corresponding areas of the blade foot.
