<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrain occurrence of abnormal sound caused by a gear serving as a toque transmission medium. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic clutch is composed of a shaft 18 rotatably inserted in a field 14, an energizing coil 16 provided around the outer periphery of the shaft 18 within the field 14, a gear 22 rotatably fitted on the shaft 18 and adapted to be exerted thereto with an external torque, an armature 24 rotatably provided on the shaft 18 and exerted with a torque from the gear 22 through the intermediary of a leaf spring 26, and a rotary 20 coupled to the outer periphery of the shaft 18 at a position where it is opposed to the armature 24. The gear 22 is restrained from being axially moved, by means of the rotor 20 and a ring-like engaging member 32 on axially both sides, and is urged toward the rotor 20 by mans of a wave washer 30 interposed between itself and the ring-like member 32.</p> |
