PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish speedup of a device without any change in an image processing speed by controlling a conveying speed so that it is increased sequentially in a sheet feeding means, in an image forming conveying means, and in a sheet conveying means in this order. SOLUTION: A conveying speed for transfer paper P during normal rotation of a resister roller 376 in a resister correction unit 47, that is, a rotational speed of a motor M3 (404) is controlled so as to be equalized to a speed of an image forming process (development, transfer). A transfer paper P conveying speed during normal operation of a pre-resistor roller 374 in the pre-resister correction unit 45, that is, a rotational speed of a motor M2 (403) is controlled so as to be increased as against that of a motor M1 (402). In this way, a conveying speed is lowered below an image forming process speed for improving paper feeding precision in a paper feeding unit 44, and the lowered conveying speed is restored for setting an interval between the transfer paper sheets P to be short when an image forming process is carried out.
