PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fragrance-releasing siloxane capable of releasing the fragrance when hydrolyzed, having a slow rate of the fragrant molecule release so as to exhibit the fragrance for a long period, and useful for personal care formulation or the like by allowing the siloxane to have a specific chemical structure. SOLUTION: This fragrance-releasing siloxane is represented by formula I [M is R7R8R9SiO1/2; MF is R7R8RFSiO1/2; D is R10R11SiO2/2; DF is R10RFSiO2/2; T is R12SiO3/2; TF is RFSiO3/2; Q is SiO4/2; R7 to R12 are each a 1-40C monovalent alkyl, alkoxy, monovalent aryl or aryloxy; one or more of (g), (i) and (k) are >=1; (f) and (g) are each a positive integer; one or more of (h), (i), (j), (k) and (l) are each a positive integer; RF is (R1O)a(R2O)b(R3O)c(Ru4)d(R5)eSiRu; Ru is a divalent hydrocarbon; R1O to R3O are each a fragrant alkoxide part; R4 and R5 are each a 1-40C monovalent hydrocarbon or monovalent alkoxy; (a) is 1-3; (b), (c), (d) and (e) are each 0-2 with the proviso that (a+b+c+d+ e)=3], e.g. a compound of formula II.
