BROACH CHIP SUCTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broach chip suction device to high-efficiently recover chips in a dry state generated during cutting of a broach when dry broach machining or mist dry broach machining is executed. SOLUTION: A pocket 21 having an inside diameter approximately two times the maximum outer diameter of a broach 4 is arranged at the central part of a jig 2 body arranged on the table 7 of a broach machine 1. A chip discharge hole 22 and an air feed hole 23 are formed on the two sides of the pocket 21. The hole diameter of each of the upper and lower holes of the pocket 21 is reduced unless otherwise there is no interference with the maximum outside diameter of the broach. A separable type suction device 10 is arranged, the suction side of the suction device 10 and the suction side of the chip discharge hole 22 are intercoupled through a hose 11 on the suction side. The exhaust side of the suction device 10 and the air feed hole 23 are intercoupled through a hose 12 on the exhaust side, and a port 13 communicated with the atmosphere is formed in the middle of the hose 12 on the exhaust side.
