PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate removal of fry-batter scums and cleaning of oil tanks. SOLUTION: A heating gas burner is disposed in front of a cooking oil tank 2, whose lateral sides are covered in a heating box 12. The lower section of the oil tank 2 is exposed to form a low-temperature region 16 in it. The side faces of the oil tank 2 are inclined at such a slope as causes fry-batter scums not to remain on them but to slide down on them into the low-temperature region 16. Fry-batter scums are kept from carbonization and thus from sticking to the wall surface of the oil tank 2.
