PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make thin samples with a fixed thickness without skill. SOLUTION: A blade 2 is attached to the tip of a cutter holder 3, which moves horizontally along a slide guide 5. The cutter holder 3 is provided with a drive handle 4 on the rear end side. A sample block 1 is fixed to a sample feeding table 9 by a clamper 8. The sample feeding table 9 raises the sample block 1 at a feed rate of severalμm-several 10μm per one time. A humidifier 11 is incorporated in the side face of a device body. A nozzle 12 extends forward from the humidifier 11, and the tip of the nozzle 12 is arranged at a position opening to the top face of the sample block 1. A shutter 13 is provided at the tip of the nozzle 12. The shutter 13 is opened and closed by operating the operation switch 19 attached to the handle 4.
