DISPLAY CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE: A display control circuit for a display panel is provided to perform a processing in a high speed using a lookup table. CONSTITUTION: A display control circuit for a display panel comprises a sequence counter (22), a lookup table(24), and a comparator(26). The sequency counter(22) counts the number of display pulses supplied to a common electrode. The lookup table(24) is addressed by the counted value of the sequence counter, and outputs a brightness value corresponding to the counted number of the display pulses. The comparator(26) compares the brightness value from the lookup table and input brightness data. An apply period of a control voltage to a separate electrode of a display cell is controlled by an output of the comparator(26).
