PURPOSE: A simply designed yarn brake is provided to make it easier for yarn to be separated at brake position of braking factor. CONSTITUTION: Yarn brake(B) comprises a fixed frame, yarn guide elements(2,3), rotation drive (D) and braking element(E). Yarn guide elements is spaced, fixed and formed straight yarn path(C) by yarn brake. The braking element is projecting from rotation drive beyond the straight yarn path. The braking element is controlled by the rotation drive to perform an angular stroke(10) about a rotation axis(X) and spaced from essentially parallel to the straight yarn path. The braking element has an adjustment device(A) to vary the degree(F) for deviation or the yarn(Y) in the braking position (E1). The distance(L) between the rotation axis(X) of the braking element and the straight yarn path is variable through the adjustment device.
