POLYALKYLENE POLYSUCCINIMIDE AND POST-TREATED DERIVATIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyalkylene polysuccinimide excellent in dispersant characteristic, and improved in hydrolysis stability, shear stress stability and fluorocarbon elastomer compatibility, and to obtain its post-treated derivative. SOLUTION: This polysuccinimide composition is obtained by reacting a mixture of an alkenyl or alkylsuccinic acid derivative, an unsaturated acidic reagent copolymer and a polyamine under reactive conditions. An alkenyl or alkyl substituent of the alkenyl or alkylsuccinic acid derivative has an Mn of 140 to 3,000. The unsaturated acidic reagent copolymer has an average degree of polymerization of 2 to 20 and comprises the unsaturated acidic reagent and an olefin having an Mn of at least 1,000. The polyamine has at least 3 nitrogen atoms and 4 to 20 carbon atoms.
