PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the spread of a fire in roof plates more than some extent of the area even when roof boards catches fire by a combustion of the roof plates by providing parts covered with incombustible metal plates in a roof covered with resin- coated metal plates not being incombustible material in a specific width. SOLUTION: A roof material is formed by providing a groove-like joint part projecting to its surface side on each width directional one side end of an incombustible material and incombustible material-inapplicable article made by molding, and a groove-like joint part projecting to its rear surface side on the opposite side end thereof, and ones being incombustible material are employed as roof materials A and ones not being incombustible material are roof materials B. Then, a pattern is repeated in that three roof materials B are continuously joined to the roof board 3 of a slant roof, and a sheet of the roof materials A is connected thereto so as to cover the roof. At this time, a width of the roof materials A is made 15 cm or more. In cases where the roof materials B burn through leaping of fire and thus a roof board 3 catches fire, the spread of a fire is not expanded more than some extent of the area because of an interposition of the incombustible material-covered roof materials A.
