PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for moisture proofing and moisture proofed paper using this. SOLUTION: This resin composition for moisture proofing is a polystyrene- acrylate emulsion obtained by emulsion polymerizing monomer mixture mainly comprising styrene (1) and (meth)acrylates (2) in aqueous dispersion of waxes (A) and emulsifying and dispersing agent (B), and the paper coated with this resin has an excellent moisture resistance, the waste paper manifests easy disaggregation, inhibiting transfer of the coated layer to the non-coated face and slipping, having resistance to blocking.
