PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin composition to which an antibacterial/antifungal agent was applied, which activity can be enhanced without enhancing the amount of the organic antibacterial/antifungal agent in a base substance or on the surface of the base substance. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of dissolving, into an organic solvent, a polyester A having at least one antibacterial/antifungal moiety selected from ammonium salt, pyridinium salt, and phosphonium salt in its main chain or its side chain and a vinyl-binding moiety, and graft polymerizing therewith a hydrophilic group-containing vinyl-based monomer in the presence of an azobisnitrile-based initiator selected from azobisisobutylonitrile, azobispropionitrile, and azobisvaleronitrile and a polymerization modifier, wherein the polyester A is a substantially amorphous copolymerized polyester having a glass transition temperature at 30 deg.C or higher.
