PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the development performance of an airbag body by preventing the airbag body from being caught by projections in a vehicle interior. SOLUTION: An airbag body 16 has its upper portion 16D folded almost downwards in the form of a bellows and has its lower portion 16E folded back to the side of the bellows-folded upper portion 16D to a vehicle interior side. The end 16F of the lower portion 16E reaches the upper surface part 16G of the upper portion 16D. As a result, during he development the airbag body, the folded back lower portion 16E of the airbag body 16 is pushed out toward the vehicle interior by the upper portion 16D projected outside of the vehicle in advance, and is inflated and developed downwards at a position away from an in-vehicle projection 52 such as a slip joint. |
