PURPOSE: A method for orientating liquid crystal is provided to secure a view angle by rubbing an orientation film as a circular type by a single process and save a manufacturing cost by removing a complex photo lithography process and decreasing a mumber of rubbing processes. CONSTITUTION: A rubbing roller(12) is safely arrived for forming a rubbing hole on the axis of a glass substrate(11). The glass substrate(11) is rotated and rubbed in the rotation direction of the rubbing roller(12) or the opposed direction of a roller rotation. An orientation axis is formed on an orientation film because the glass substrate(11) is not moved in a straight direction but rotated in a circular direction.
