PURPOSE: A method for driving an ice releasing motor of an automatic ice machine is provided to rotate a cam forwardly and reversely by sensing the position of a cam from an ice releasing motor attaching a magnet using a hall sensor. CONSTITUTION: A hall sensor(40) sensing magnetic force turns on a switch by feeding magnetic force and turns off the switch by not feeding magnetic force. Therefore, the hall sensor feeds a detected value to an A/D port of a microcomputer by discriminating a first magnet(20) and a second magnet(30) as sensing different magnetic force of each magnetic. Also, when inputting power, a cam(10) is rotated forwardly for sensing the horizon of an ice manufacturing side. Then, a cam is rotated reversely when the hall sensor senses the first magnet attached to the outer circumference of the upper cam and the cam stops when the hall sensor senses the second magnet to sense the horizon of the ice manufacturing face.
